“At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and President Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy and Putin
“After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself. Again, this was a very good, early step for a War that has been going on for almost four years,” Trump wrote on Truth Social site. Zelenskyy and Putin
Monday’s talks at the White House came after President Trump and his Russian counterpart Putin in Alaska over the weekend, during which the two made progress but did not make any formal announcement. Zelenskyy and Putin
Zelenskyy visited the Oval Office on Monday, showing appreciation for Trump’s peace efforts alongside top European leaders committed to a fair resolution.
Among the European leaders who attended the meeting were British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the president of Finland, Alexander Stubb.
