Time flies apace,
leaving behind
just a few moments
for memory
like sand grains
in the whirlwind.
The bird flies
higher and faster.
The human struggles
on Earth
to keep the bird’s flight in sight
but then flies in fancy,
faster and farther
till time and thought
wander into the unknown –
Space or Time?
Or perhaps a merger
like a mingling of the oceans?
Who knows, who knows!
