Although direct exchanges between Israel and Iran appear to have subsided for now, the broader conflict remains unresolved, leaving the region on edge despite renewed diplomatic efforts.
The U.S. president had two telephonic calls with Netanyahu, first urging Israel restraint after Iranian attack, second as both exchanged missiles.
According to the Times of Israel, Trump confirmed to Channel 12 that he asked Netanyahu during a phone that Israel not respond to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks.
“I said, ‘Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon,’” Trump said, the Times citing Axio, reported.
Announcing end to flare-up, Netanyahu said Israel had achieved its objectives and that Iranian attacks had ceased following Israeli strikes on targets in Iran.

“At this moment, the fire on that front is contained — after we struck the terror regime in Tehran, it stopped attacking us,” Netanyahu said in a televised address.
However, he warned that Israel would respond forcefully to any future attacks.
“Should Iran make the mistake of resuming attacks against us, we will respond with full force,” he added.
Schools Reopen as Restrictions Lifted
Following the apparent de-escalation, Israel’s Home Front Command lifted nearly all emergency restrictions imposed during the latest round of fighting.
The Israeli Education Ministry confirmed that schools across the country would reopen on Tuesday. In communities near the Lebanese border, classes will be required to take place close to protected shelters, while schools elsewhere will resume normal operations.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch had earlier indicated that prolonged hostilities could have delayed the reopening of schools. The ministry also confirmed that matriculation examinations scheduled for this week have been canceled.

Iran Announces End of Military Operations
Iran’s military command later announced the suspension of military operations against Israel, describing its actions as a successful response to Israeli attacks.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said Iranian forces had delivered what it described as a “painful response” to Israel and that military operations had consequently been halted.
In a statement carried by state television, the command declared that “the cessation of armed forces operations is hereby announced.”
The announcement marked the first direct military confrontation between the two countries since a ceasefire that took effect in April.
