Hello New Year!
You arrive once more
soft as a promise –
a promise my heart has been waiting for.
I welcome you
as December slips away
leaving behind
a raft of quiet goodbyes
and folded memories.
I dream of brighter days
of laughter
spilling freely
of beautiful madness
and tender gatherings.
May spring return
with familiar colors
reviving tired hearts
and bringing hope
for all to bloom again.
Oh, December whispers
I will return
The ache of endings
melt into belief
and turn sorrow
into courage
to begin anew.
A new year opens its arms –
offering fresh light
and new colors of life.
