Continuing its decades-long legacy of excellence in sports manufacturing, Pakistan has reached another milestone: producing the official Adidas match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Named TRIONDA, the ball was unveiled by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and is proudly manufactured by Forward Sports, based in the eastern Punjab city of Sialkot—a globally renowned hub for high-quality sports goods.
“Designed by adidas and proudly manufactured by Forward Sports, this stunning ball celebrates the unity of the host nations: 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇲🇽 Mexico, and 🇺🇸 United States,” the company stated.
Following its role in producing the official match balls for the 2014, 2018, and 2022 tournaments, Forward Sports shared its pride in continuing this prestigious tradition.
“We’re honored to continue our journey as the producer of the official World Cup match balls,” the company said after the unveiling.
Sialkot has long been recognized for its craftsmanship and innovation, supplying millions of balls, bats, rackets, and other sports gear to international brands. While Forward Sports is equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities, it credits much of its success to the skilled artisans, engineers, designers, and experts who bring precision and passion to their work.
“The Official Match Ball for the FIFA World Cup 26 is here, and it’s a beauty!” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“I am happy and proud to present TRIONDA. adidas have created another iconic FIFA World Cup ball, with a design that embodies the unity and passion of our host nations: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.”
The name TRIONDA is derived from Spanish, meaning “three waves”. This reflects the unique and historic nature of the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by three nations for the first time in history.
The ball’s design reflects this spirit of unity:
- Red, green, and blue colors represent Canada, Mexico, and the USA respectively.
- A four-panel construction with fluid, wave-like geometry symbolizes the “three waves.”
- The central triangle formed by the panels is a visual nod to the trio of hosts.
- National icons – a maple leaf for Canada, an eagle for Mexico, and a star for the United States – adorn the ball.
- Gold detailing honors the FIFA World Cup Trophy, highlighting the prestige of the tournament.

According to FIFA, TRIONDA also incorporates cutting-edge performance technology:
- Intentionally deep seams and fluid panel shapes enhance in-flight stability by optimizing aerodynamic drag.
- Embossed micro-textures, visible only up close, improve grip and control, particularly in wet or humid conditions.
The ball’s launch comes amid a series of major FIFA announcements, including:
- The unveiling of the Official Mascots for World Cup 26,
- FIFA’s commitment to donate USD $1 per ticket sold to the Global Citizen Education Fund,
- And the news that over 4.5 million fans from 216 countries entered the Visa Presale Draw, the first ticketing phase for what is being billed as the biggest World Cup ever.
“I can’t wait to see this beautiful ball hitting the back of the net,” said Infantino.
“The countdown to the greatest FIFA World Cup ever is on — and the ball is rolling!”
