Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Aleema Khan, the sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, have categorically rejected the official medical reports provided by the state following her recent meeting with him in prison.
The opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) also joined voices dismissing the official account detailed by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the former prime minister’s medical examination.
TTAP specifically accused the Government of “distorting” facts to “cover up the deteriorating health and treatment meted out to” Imran Khan.
The government, meanwhile, claims it does not want to “politicize” the matter of PTI founder Imran Khan’s health, blaming the opposition for doing the same.
“The medical report also came forward yesterday and everything is clear as per it. Neither we nor the government want to politicize this,” the Interior Minister said.
“Putting up such a show is extremely inappropriate, especially misleading people,” he added.
Conveying a message through the daughter of Bushra Bibi, Imran Khan sounded a dire alarm: “My eyes are not well. Tell my sisters to raise their voices for me.”
Khan has demanded that his personal physicians, Dr. Asim and Dr. Faisal, be granted immediate access to him and that his medical test results be shared directly with his trusted doctors rather than being filtered through state authorities.

The most clinical evidence of mistreatment involves Khan’s deteriorating vision. For two weeks, the former Prime Minister has been unable to see clearly. Despite repeatedly informing the Jail Superintendent, no action was taken.
His counsel, Salman Akram Raja, provided a heartbreaking clarification of the medical report:
“Khan Sahab looked at me, placed his hand over his left eye, and tried to see with his right. He said, ‘Salman, I cannot see your face. I can only sense the light.’”
The family questions the motives of the jail administration: If Khan is under constant surveillance by multiple cameras, how did they “deliberately” allow his vision to fail for two weeks without intervention? This negligence has shattered any remaining trust in government-aligned medical reports.
The family’s attempts to secure independent medical help have been blocked. When the administration suggested sending Qasim Khan (Imran’s son) to “talk” to him, the family refused, stating they did not need a visitor; they needed a specialist.

“We do not trust any government, military, or police personnel,” Dr. Uzma Khan stated. The family requested Dr. Burki or Dr. Asim. They were told Dr. Burki was not permitted. When they pleaded for at least Dr. Asim, the authorities replied they would “ask and let them know,” after which all communication ceased.
The former prime minister’s sister, Dr. Uzma Khan said, “we have received messages from doctors from around the world that the report was not prepared by doctors. That is why we were demanding that at least one doctor of our choice be included in the medical board [for Imran]”.
She noted that “an injection cannot be administered in jail.”
“We do not know what kind of injection was administered to Imran. Was it an injection of poison?” she questioned.
Recounting her last meeting with Imran Khan she expressed concern over the future of her brother. Uzma said he had expressed the fear that he would be killed in jail. when she met her last time.
Earlier, Aleema Khan and her sisters were intercepted by police at the Chakri Interchange. Instead of receiving permission for a scheduled meeting, Aleema Khan was met with the issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants.
The Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz Aain-e-Pakistan said it deems the recent press conference of the Interior Minister as blatantly misleading, contrary to facts, and a failed attempt to throw dust in the eyes of the public.
“Distorting the truth while holding a state office is not only a sign of moral bankruptcy but also an open defiance of constitutional responsibilities. The government is fabricating a narrative to cover up the deteriorating health of former prime minister Imran Khan and the inhumane treatment meted out to him in jail.
“Depriving the nation of the real facts to stage a political spectacle is reprehensible and unacceptable. We state in unequivocal terms that the lack of trust in government doctors during medical examinations and the condition of the presence of his personal physician are not some individual stubbornness, but a unanimous decision reached through mutual consultation by the family, the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz Aain-e-Pakistan. The moral, legal, and human right to decide on Imran Khan’s health matters belongs solely to his family.”
